A vibrant venue for a creative community
The Merse is a much-loved building in the heart of Wigtown purchased in 2025 by the Wigtown & Bladnoch Community Initiative to safeguard its future as home to a wide range of community groups and recreational activity.
With plans to grow a vibrant events programme and host touring performers, film screenings, and live music, the volunteers hope to support the thriving arts sector in South-West Scotland, including many locally based artists and musicians.
